THE car

After a year to find a suitable vehicle and 3+ years of build time, “The Beast” as she’s affectionately known, was born.  It was worth the wait.

This car was our first build and inspired by Tim Allen’s 68 as seen on Jay Leno’s Garage.  This particular rendition was built by hand by Bob Dehnel and his sons at One Way Collision in Merrill, Wisconsin.

The car was designed to look “stock” with subtle changes, difficult to notice by the untrained eye.  However, The Beast is anything but “stock”, boasting a frame off restoration, modern 6.2L LS3 crate power train and a front to back TCI suspension, she not only handles like she’s on rails, but puts over 525HP to the pavement, pinned to the asphalt with 18” wheels and Michelin Pilot Sports.

She’s painted a stock 2016 Camaro metallic color called Son of Gun Gray, a nod to her modern Camaro siblings.  Coincidentally Son of a Gun Gray is also the flagship 50th Anniversary Camaro color.

We hope you enjoy The Beast as much as we do, she’s not been on the circuit yet, but managed to make her way into Super Chevy in 2018.

In 2021 The Beast was joined by two new members of the family, a 1963 Jeep Gladiator and 1971 Chevrolet Corvette. The Beast  also inspired the launch of the 1821 Garage Community, to provide a platform for us to share our passion for our vehicles and the open road..  Find us on Facebook or Instagram.
